Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival Day – Vientiane

Day 2
Vientiane to Xaisomboun
Approx. 190km Meals – B, L, D
- - Head into northern Laos
- - Take the ferry across the lake
- - Phou Khao Khauy National Park
- - Small wooden cable bridges
- - Bamboo forests
- - Stay in a small village guesthouse
Day 3
Xaisomboun to Phonsavanh
Approx. 160km Meals – B, L, D
- - Follow ‘Revolution Road’
- - Long Chieng airport (Lima Site 20)
- - Ride on the world most secret runway
- - General Vangphao’s house
- - Rocky roads through limestone mountains

Day 4
Phonsavanh to Muang Kham

Day 5
Muang Kham to Vieng Thong

Day 6
Vieng Thong to Muang Ngoi
Approx. 190km Meals – B, L, D

- - Ride near the Vietnam border

- - Sunset beers on the Nam Ou river
Day 7
Muang Ngoi to Nongkhiau

- - Crossing one of the new Chinese hydro dams

- - Drinks in the pool looking across the river
Day 8
Nongkhiau to Luang Prabang

- - Start the day on a fantastic twisty paved road
- - Small tracks through the rice paddies
- - The crazy ‘Bamboo Raft’ river crossing
- - Amazing countryside
- - The ancient capital, Luang Prabang
- - Riverside beers to finish the ride

If you need to return to Vientiane, there is a fast train (2 hours).
