FAQ

The ideal time is May to October, when the weather is generally dry and clear, making for easier riding and great views of Java’s volcanoes. The November to April wet season brings more showers, but rides still run year-round — the rain often comes in short bursts, and the landscapes are at their greenest.
Java has a very well developed road network, allowing us to choose our routes depending on the group. We add off-road tracks to suit the riders.
We use good standard twin or double rooms. Private / single occupancy can be arranged with a supplement. The rooms have good beds, air-con, private bathroom etc.
Yes. We carefully select restaurants, homestays, and hotels that maintain good hygiene and prepare meals suitable for international travelers. Indonesian food is full of fresh ingredients and flavor, and most riders really enjoy trying local dishes along the way. If you prefer something familiar, there are usually Western options available too.
For groups of 7 or more riders we add a support van. We still ask you to just bring 1 case each as space can be limited. For groups without a support van, you should bring 1 waterproof bag, to be strapped to the bike. Smaller groups can also add a support van with a supplement. Please ask for details.
Java does not have any insurance options for motorbikes. We take a refundable security deposit of $500 USD, which covers any potential damage to the bike. This is fully refunded when the bike is returned without damage. Riders should have their own personal insurance to cover overnight hospital requirements.
